Chard Honoured with Two Awards for Excellence from UDI Pacific Region

On Wednesday, May 11, representatives of Chard Development Ltd. were thrilled to join close to 750 industry colleagues for the Urban Development Institute Pacific Region’s 50th Anniversary Celebration & Awards for Excellence. Celebrating the visionaries behind British Columbia’s development industry and showcasing the most impressive examples of design, innovation, sustainability and heritage restoration across the province, the Awards for Excellence were first awarded 38 years ago. This year’s Awards for Excellence saw a record number of submissions, with a total of 21 awards presented.

Chard was honoured to be recognized with six project nominations and two Awards for Excellence. The Royals in North Vancouver was recognized as BC’s best Purpose-Built Market Rental High Rise while Vivid in Victoria was celebrated as best Non-Market Housing. Accepting the awards on behalf of Chard Development, Byron Chard thanked the many consultants, trades, suppliers and team members involved in the creation of these projects and highlighted the positive contributions made to multiple levels of the housing continuum by these award-worthy developments.

These two awards represent the first UDI Pacific Region Awards for Excellence bestowed upon Chard Development.
