We’re excited to share that Chard Development, in collaboration with Proscenium Architecture, has submitted a rezoning application to the City of Vancouver to build an 8-storey mixed use office and light industrial development at 750 SW Marine Drive. The Project seeks to address the City’s goal of creating high intensity employment sites outside of the Central Business District in locations that encourage transit ridership, and is just steps from the Marine Drive Canada Line Station. The development will add significant job space—or approximately 500 workers—to the Marpole Corridor.
To further support alternate modes of transportation, building occupants will share end-of-trip building amenities including bike storage, locker rooms and change rooms. Reduced touch points in common areas, state-of-the-art mechanical system and easily accessible stairwells will help to promote a healthy workplace. A common boardroom and shared rooftop terrace will not only help to improve workplace satisfaction for those working in the building, but will also reduce operating costs for business owners by eliminating the need for private meeting space. Landscaping and outdoor seating areas will enhance the public realm and contribute to a pleasant pedestrian experience.
The virtual City-led Open House is anticipated to begin in early 2021.
