Deanna has been an essential part of the Chard team since 2022, bringing effective planning and a keen attention to detail. We asked her some questions to get to know her better! Check out her answers below!
What does a day in the life at Chard look like for you?
Each day is different which I like, so it can be anywhere from processing vendor invoices, Visa statements, to cutting payments. I work on different parts of the accounting process across all our projects.
What do you enjoy MOST about working at Chard?
The people and the culture are a big highlight for me. From staff events to our weekly team Jeopardy, it is a great group of people to work and spend time with.
Can you share a career highlight or accomplishment you’re proud of?
The accounting team recently made a transition over to Yardi for our payments system. It was a group effort to switch over systems and help us streamline how we do things, which is going to benefit the whole organization with improved efficiencies.
How are you challenged in your role?
In my role, I must be very detail-oriented. Ensuring everyone is paid on time requires managing the payment cycle and making sure nothing gets missed.
When you’re not working, what can we find you doing?
I like to do Lagree workout classes and travel. Most recently I went to Dubai twice this past year, and next, I would like to go to Greece!
What is a fun fact about you?
I really enjoy cooking and hosting. My go-to dish to make is a Spicy vodka rigatoni!
