Since joining Chard in 2022, Shane has been a welcome and highly skilled member of the team, bringing with him many years as a seasoned construction professional in the capacity of Red Seal carpenter, project manager and Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS).

What does a day in the life at Chard look like?
A day in the life at Chard is typically very eventful and it varies daily. We work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the success of all our projects in various stages, followed by ongoing budget reviews and constant market condition updates.
What do you enjoy MOST about working at Chard?
What I enjoy most about Chard would be working alongside energetic and like-minded co-workers. It makes it easy to come into the office every day.
Can you share a career highlight or accomplishment you’re proud of?
Recently being honored with the 2022 Top 40 Under 40 in Canadian Construction alongside so many amazing industry peers would be a career highlight so far for me!
How are you challenged in your role?
Shifting market conditions and construction material increases challenges us to get creative with planning for projects and being adaptable to those market conditions. In this industry, we must be prepared for anything to come down the pipeline and my role is no exception.
When you’re not working, what can we find you doing (hobbies)?
When I’m not working, I can typically be found being chased around by my two kids (ages 2 & 4) or playing squash.
