It has been over a year of activity at the site for NEST and Haven and it’s exciting to look back and see how much progress has been made! Since the beginning of 2022 Cook Street Plaza was deconstructed, excavation and shoring followed shortly thereafter, and the below-grade parking levels have begun being poured. Now we are at the exciting point in construction where things are really taking shape and it is beginning to look more and more like a building!
At NEST, the team is working their way up from the bottom level of the parkade – the P3 level has been poured and the installation of the rebar to support the concrete walls of the second level of the parkade has begun. In the spring, we’ll start to see the building rise above ground as we move towards topping off the building towards the end of the year!
Next door at Haven, the parkade is really taking shape! The team has started forming the third and final suspended slab of the parkade along south side that faces Johnson, which will form the top level of the parkade. The North side levels are following behind, with the first suspended slab completed and tied into the south side.
Once the structures move above ground, we look forward to sharing more as the homes within this community will begin to come together.
